September Limbo

I don’t like doing big, month-long recap posts like the last few – but life has been crazy and our internet in the RV is slow and limits data. So that’s the excuse – better internet is coming!

September was a month of “new” and “limbo”. We created a new weekend tradition of playing mini golf and going out to eat – usually for pizza. It started when we went to the flea market at the Shell Factory. The Shell Factory is also an amusement park of sorts with a carousel and mini golf. It’s not the fanciest place, but the prices reflect what it is. Everyone is friendly and helpful. Everything works. Just a bit dated. I think we played mini golf for $5/person!

We liked the Shell Factory so much we went again the following weekend!

We also discovered a place in Fort Myers called “Castle Golf” that is AMAZING! The lines in the parking lot are swords. Dragon heads are on the end of the joists for the building. Immaculate. While the 1st round is expensive – $15/person – going around again is only $2. So you can play 2 rounds for $17 at an amazing, fancy, and well kept course. Not too bad!

We’ve also been furniture shopping the patio clearance at Lowe’s and the resale furniture shops. We’ve found a few good deals. We also still watching our house like hawks. It’s getting closer and closer to completion – and we’re beyond excited to get in there and out of the RV.

What else? Karissa found some stray dogs and took them to the pound. Adelaide & Emerson made friends at the campground. We almost bought a cheap minivan. We went to a movie night downtown Babcock Ranch and met up with new friends. Probably more.

We close on our house in mid/late October. And I’m currently on a few week delay (writing this post on 10/21/21 but it will look published on 10/7). It’s an exciting time for us and we can see the light at the end of the tunnel!
