Counting Down to Zero

After 280 nights without a “sticks & bricks” home, we spent our final night in the RV and will be moving into our new house tomorrow. But more on that in a bit..

At the house, the pool cage went up, the pool got its final coat of paint/liner/spray, and filled with water. We got our landscaping planted. It’s a fully-functioning house at this point! There are a few paint touchups and other minor issues that should be addressed by tomorrow, but we’re excited to be there.

We’ve spent the last few weeks balancing the getting ready to move and starting our new life with enjoying the remaining days at the RV park. Letting the kids play with the other RV kids & walking the familiar roads – we’ve been here since January! The RV park pool is closed to get it ready for “season” – so we can’t plant one final memory there, but that’s ok.

We spent 7-8 hours just hanging out downtown yesterday. The kids played with friends in the splash pad and all over the grassy areas. We had great food from the food trucks. And enjoyed being outside and not worrying about space or just watching TV in the RV.

We picked up a U-Haul trailer this evening, filled with with stuff from Naples & the RV, and are ready to move into our house tomorrow! This last night in the RV is bittersweet, but we’re beyond excited for the changes that are coming.
