Happy New Year (From Naples)

Happy New Year!

After spending a night up in Tampa where nightly rates are much cheaper than Sun-N-Fun, we headed down to Naples to spend New Year’s Eve with cousins, aunt, and grandparents. We left the RV up there and will return to it to finish up our trip.

We arrived to a pool day, got in some running, and headed to the beach for a New Year’s Eve sunset. We did the same to ring in 2018. It was a great day.

After the sunset, we had an assortment of foods and games back at the house. Both kids fell asleep (and cuddled together) before 2020.

We spent January 1st at the pool again. Opened some gifts. And went to the Naples dog track that evening – possibly for the last time ever. Florida is shutting down the dog racing in March. Between the 4 of us, we lost a grand total of $3.40 gambling and $9.40 if you include our admission. It was a fun start to the year.

So we’re heading back up north to Tampa to finish up our trip. We’re not looking forward to heading back to the cold, darkness
