End of School: Pre-K Graduate & 1st Grade Over

The last week or so has absolutely flown by! There were all sorts of festivities and dress-up days at both kids schools. It turned life into a blur for sure!

I’ve also been working like crazy to get a really unique and important product launched and lack the extra mental capacity to write an entertaining post…

So we’ll do this in a bullet-point list:

  • Emerson graduated from Pre-K. The kids all had different color robs and hats and it was really cool to see the groups colors. There were 47 graduates! Emerson was sooo happy and proud. It was really cute!
  • The kids had a gymnastics showcase. They’ve been doing gymnastics since the fall and this is their 2nd showcase. We don’t feel that they’ve progressed much and are taking some time off of the sport.
  • Adelaide is no longer a 1st grader! She wrapped up her final days of school for the year and is going on to 2nd grade in August.
  • Emerson got his 1st dose of the COVID vaccine!
  • Adelaide did a preliminary modeling shoot to build her portfolio and begin the process of seeking an agent/agency to find her jobs.
  • Michelle, our 1st ever overnight visitor at this house, visited us again!

That about sums up our last few weeks. We’re going to enjoy the start of summer here in Florida before having a busy summer of travel – mostly up north in Illinois and Wisconsin, but a few work trips to Colorado and DC are likely.

The 2021-2022 school year was definitely unique. Our kids managed to thrive, overall, and build some amazing friendships. The 2022-2023 school year will be it’s own kind of wild – so we need to really enjoy this summer!
