2022 Resolution Kick-Start

We’ve always been a pretty active couple. We play volleyball together -but any running or exercise tends to be separate. For 2022, our goal is to run together at least 100 times. We’ve made time to do it during the school day – and have gotten off to a pretty decent start together. Karissa has to run faster than normal and I have to run slower – but we’re trying to make it work.

Our other resolutions are to eat less processed food than we have been. More pure vegetables and beans. Less fast, easy, and fake foods. It’ll be a challenge to get back into the swing of it, but we’ll undoubtedly feel better.

Otherwise, January is off to a good start. We keep making progress on decorating the house and finding homes for everything. We’ve realized that it’s a lot easier to have nothing and fill a house than to have stuff and try to figure out how to use it. But we’re up to the challenge and have time.

We watched TV from the hot tub. Had friends come over for quesadilla night. And try to tackle projects a bit each day.

Karissa celebrated her 34th birthday this week. Our 17th as a couple. Our amazing neighbor made a vegan cake for Karissa. It was AMAZING. Very dense and moist.

We’re hoping to keep up the running throughout the year. And more projects. We’re also in disbelief about the wonderful weather here in SW Florida this time of year – as lifelong residents of the Midwest. We’ve even been cold a few times!
