Cold Start to November

It’s been a cold start to November. After the Snowy Halloween, we had a melt. Then more snow. And then temperatures dropped into the single digits for almost a week.

I made a goal to run 125 miles in the month of November. So I couldn’t afford to take any days off. The challenge is recorded through Strava, a fitness app with some social media features. While you can log manual/treadmill runs – this challenge only counts GPS-logged miles. So outside into the cold I ran on those bitter cold days.

We’re hosting Thanksgiving and have been working hard on our basement. We’ve hung 7 doors and installed hundreds of feet of baseboard moulding and door/window casing. We got our basement bathroom fully functional. And even got to take one some fun projects like painting a cabinet in the craft room.

Adelaide continues to play basketball at the YMCA. And I participated in an indoor triathlon. We swam for 20 minutes, biked for 20 minutes, and then ran for 20 minutes. It was a really intense competition. Our friend, Luke, and I were in the same heat and pushed each other hard. We each wound up winning our age group!

Like I said, we’re hosting Thanksgiving next week – so we’ve been crazy busy getting the house ready for guests. But it should be fun!
