Uninspired: Back to our Default RV Destination

We’ve been pretty uninspired with where to travel from the start of this trip. A long time ago, we’d planned to get out to Arizona. But the reality of how much driving that would have been killed that plan. And getting to Tampa and seeing the prices – 50% off of the in-season prices – and we knew wandering around from Tampa to Naples was what we needed. Warm weather. Pools. And access to the beach. What more could anybody want?

So when it came time to begin heading home, we had a few extra days to stop somewhere along the way. Lots of choices, but none of them stood out to us. So we went to our default RV destination – Lazydays!

We decided on another 2 nights. Asked for a site close to the pool…and this is what we got:

That’s Karissa and Adelaide sitting inside the pool’s screening with our truck and 5th wheel right behind them. We got a spot literally across the street! It made swimming less of an ordeal because of the proximity.

While near Tampa, we checked out a few housing developments nearby – just to see what’s different this far north. Waterset by Newland, Watergrass, and Epperson. The kids continue to enjoy seeing homes. And we’re learning that the differences in communities is bigger than we’d initially thought.

We spent most of our stay in the pool. The kids met a young boy who taught them how to catch lizards. Watching them wander around with buckets was pretty funny. Our kids didn’t catch any, but enjoyed helping the bigger kid.

We still have a day or so left if inspiration hits us on the way home. We’re thinking Memphis, but the draw of just going home and getting on with our summer is pretty appealing too.

Big travel days coming up, regardless.
