My goodness, where does the time go? Somehow it’s been over 2 years since our last update. Having 3 kids, activities, and jobs makes for a busy life.
2024 was a solid year, as far as we remember. The year started with more of the same: school, dance, etc. We spent 4-6 weeks in the summer in Illinois/Wisconsin. Elliott had a surgery at the end of July. Emerson started competitive soccer in August. We mourned the Trump electoral victory. And rang in the New Year with great friends here in Florida.
2025 was a transition year. Dance, soccer, life continued. Elliott started speech therapy and thrived. In preparation to leave the job, I wrapped up some work at the environmental nonprofit including a contract with a big tech company and publishing a paper on a very esoteric and wonky financial topic in utility regulation. We spent 5-6 weeks mostly in Illinois over the summer. I started a company with colleagues and have been in fundraising mode for the last 6 months. Emerson kicked off his 2nd season of competitive soccer in August. Adelaide joined the competitive dance squad and has been absolutely bonkers busy with dance so far. Karissa continues to stay home to care for and play with Elliott.
Obviously more has happened. We’ll try to be a bit more timely in 2026 🙂
