The parade of visitors continued ahead of our spring break. We got to welcome Grandma Cathy & Grandpa Loren, Cousin Chad & Angela, and Val, her mom, and her kids – then Mark along with Karissa’s parents. Phew!
Grandma Cathy & Grandpa Loren’s trip was quite the event. It started with a delayed flight due to a snowstorm in N. Illinois. They were supposed to land at 11pm but wound up landing at 3am. Ouch! That exhaustion lasted a few days. Sadly, Food Truck Friday wasn’t held downtown due to the annual art fair – so they didn’t get the full experience. But their trip was a success. They got to enjoy some mild weather, explore Babcock Ranch, and see our lives for a few days. Excited for their return visit!
Cousin Chad and his wife Angela were vacationing in Tampa/Clearwater. Given they were relatively close, we HAD to get together. They thankfully agreed to drive all the way to our place – and spent an afternoon and evening here. It was great – haven’t seen Chad since 2018!
Finally, we had Val and her mom and her kids for a few days before Val & her mom left while Mark came to spend the last few days of their kids’ spring break here.
Somewhere in there, Karissa, Adelaide, and Mimi went to Disney on Ice; the kids and Karissa wrapped up school before spring break; Karissa’s last day of the year was had; and she did her PBL. Glad to be on break!
