RIP Ruby (2011-2022): Ruby adored our kids and was the most motherly dog we’ve ever known. She was wicked smart, stubborn, and sometimes unrelenting. But she oozed love. We’ll miss her licking our feet every night in bed – using her teeth to get every wrinkle. We’ll never forget her high pitched, attention-seeking yap of a bark when she wanted to go out or was playing. She never “fetched” but loved chasing her brother during play, yapping happily the whole time. She definitely became a better dog with age and will be missed. Her curly tail is forever a trademark – whether stylishly waving back-and-forth on walks or wagging happily. She joins her brother and littermate, Slate, who died earlier this year. RIP, Ruby.
A beautiful tribute to Ruby. I truly miss her!!! Our recent visit to your home really brought out my emotions and how much she meant to our family. She will also be missed again this summer when our family spends our time together. Your pictures capture the special moments and her loving personality. Miss you Ruby!!
