We attended the Lee County Fair this weekend. The official name is much longer and more confusing – something like “Southwest Florida State Fair & Lee County Fair”. It’s part of a series of such fairs that are held county-by-county – so we’ll call it the “Lee County Fair”. Anyways – we’ve been seeing the set up process for a few weeks and finally decided to get out of the house and let the kids experience a fair.
We bought unlimited ride wristbands for the kids and let them take turns picking rides. Adelaide is a daredevil and thrill-seeker whereas Emerson is not. He lives in his head and could SIT in a motionless truck and think it’s the best ride ever. So that was an interesting dynamic to navigate!
We arrived at the fair late in the afternoon and left around 8pm. We managed to avoid needing to eat there; which is good since the vegan choices were limited and prices sky-high.
It was a great afternoon. The kids had fun. We took some really cool pictures (not all shared here). A lesson that we need to leave the house and do things like this from time to time – especially when they’re local.
We got home late – Mimi & Papa were there from the “Beach Buoys” concert the night before – and Adelaide fell asleep watching a movie on the couch. A great day!
It was a wonderful day, weekend with you all!! I love the Foelske blog!!!
