After our stay in Naples with Mimi & Papa, we spent one night in our RV where we’d left it before heading a bit north to Sun-N-Fun in Sarasota. Our friends had booked a last minute getaway and chose to stay there – so we decided to join them for a few days at one of our favorite RV resorts.
We managed to snag a site about as close to their rental as possible – less than a 3 minute walk away! Their “park model” rental was pretty cool. A single-wide with a full length screened-in porch. It was like a house and an RV had a baby.
We spent our mornings doing school and our normal thing. After we did that and their kid had a nap, we’d do something in the afternoon – pool, beach, shuffleboard. We’d then take a half hour or so to shower, take a break, and take care of the dogs before having dinner at their place each night. It was a very fun, low-key, and enjoyable way to spend time with some old friends…in the warm weather.
We’re leaving them a few days early. We’re trying to jump through a few hoops in the calendar and manage our various reservations without too much adjustment, while fitting in this stay. So they get to have their last few nights here to themselves.
