After about 36 hours at Lazydays with our girls, we had had a traditional Lazydays breakfast.
After eating, we moved south to Sarasota for our 3rd Christmas in a row at Sun-N-Fun RV Resort. It was a bit cold when we arrived, so we enjoyed the playground and shuffleboard. Of course, we couldn’t stay away from the pool (and hot tub).
On Christmas Eve, during the day, we set off to buy all of the Christmas presents. After that, we had lunch at an Amish buffet. We got back in time to have a little break before the annual Golf Cart Parade around the resort.
To be clear, the Golf Cart Parade is exactly what it sounds like. Folks decorate their golf carts, line up, and drive around the resort throwing candy and blaring Christmas music. We watched it and moved to a different spot later on the route to see it again. Emerson loved the carts while Adelaide loved the candy.
We finished our Christmas Eve with a soak in the hot tub, snacks back at the RV, and we all fell asleep under our Christmas tree. Adelaide fell asleep looking at the Santa map.
This might have been our best Christmas morning yet. Adelaide gets the whole idea of Santa and gifts and is an excitable little girl. Emerson feeds off of her excitement and loves gifts. They woke up with gifts around them and awe on their faces. They opened gifts quickly and played to exhaustion. It was awesome.
We normally eat Christmas lunch at the resort’s restaurant. They changed their Holiday meal to Christmas Eve from Christmas Day. So on Christmas Day, we went to a Chinese buffet. It wasn’t quite the same, but definitely good.
Karissa and Emerson took a nap while Adelaide and I played mini golf and shuffleboard. When they got up, we went to the pool complex. It was pretty empty. We loved it.
Merry Christmas to you! We hope your day was just as much fun as ours!
