The Saturday a week after Thanksgiving has become the designated day to celebrate Christmas with Karissa’s mom’s side of the family. Because they bought a lake house right next to our lake house, it’s easiest to have a party up there rather than at any one of our random houses.
Adelaide loved getting to play with her girl cousins. They were all born within a few months of each other; it’s pretty great to have girls all the same age. Who knows what exactly they played, but they all seemed to have fun.
Emerson loves being around kids. He played next to the girls and with them a bit, but also did his own thing.
When Santa came, Adelaide was beyond excited. Emerson was scared to death. Adelaide helped Santa pass out gifts and sat on his lap. Emerson thought Santa hat cooties or something.
The next morning, we celebrated Christmas with Karissa’s sister and parents. Adelaide got a Barbie Condo from Aunt Joi and couldn’t contain her joy. Emerson got a helicopter, his favorite word, and was happy to have his chopper land on the condo.
It was a fun little celebration.
