The week of the 4th of July is a big one for Karissa’s family. It’s an annual family reunion at the lake house. Family members fly and drive from all over the country to spend some time reliving their childhood at the lake.
I took a break from home renovations to be at the lake all week as well. It was my first time there this year. Emerson and Adelaide have tons of fun playing in the sand, grass, and water. Emerson especially likes “driving” all of the cars, vans, and boats. Adelaide just enjoys being around the other kids.
This was also the week of our 6th wedding anniversary. I took Adelaide to help pick out a gift and flowers for Karissa and afterwards, we ended up having an impromptu Daddy-Daughter picnic in the back of the van. I forgot to take pictures of the gifts!
Lucky Adelaide also got to join Mommy and Daddy for an anniversary dinner date. This was the picture Adelaide took of us. I believe the only picture we took that day.
