Phew! That’s a mouthful. What sounds like a busy week really wasn’t too bad. The kids had their dentist appointment. Adelaide is a pro by now and did great. No cavities. This was Emerson’s first visit and he cried, screamed, and did everything he could to show how unhappy he was. It was embarrassing. But no cavities.
We had a mid-week wedding to attend for one of Karissa’s coworkers. It was held at a local garden shop and event venue. It’s a great place for a wedding. we even got dressed up pretty fancy. We sent the kids to Aunt Joi’s.
Next up was a 5K. It was held at a local apple orchard. We chose to make it tougher than a typical 5K and eat a donut at every mile during the race. We got 2 medals instead of 1, so it seemed justified. Eating 3 donuts while running in 90+ degrees and 100% humidity isn’t the most fun thing in the world. But we did it! I may have taken a few steps walking while Karissa refused to walk and ran the whole time. Our times weren’t very good, but dang it was humid!
Adelaide is a budding fashionista. She got into wearing skirts and dresses on our road trip adventure. At Lazydays in Tampa, Florida, she put on a dress and “did her makeup” before heading to breakfast every day. Anyhow, she’s now helping Mommy’s fashion sense. Mommy had to wear high heels with sweatpants over to Grandma & Grandpa’s house one day. Then, Mommy had to wear high heels to clean the windows.
Adelaide also is a budding artist. She likes to color and put stickers everywhere, but the other day she made a really cool piece of abstract/multimedia art. It was too cool not to mention.
Finally, we had a happy Father’s Day. We got to see both my dad and Karissa’s dad.
