Happy Easter!
Time has been flying by lately. Being home for a spell after over 3 months on the road, we’ve been inundated with visitors and catching up with friends. It’s been fun but exhausting.
I took the kids with my parents to visit the Children’s Museum. Adelaide loves Children’s Museums, so it was a great way for her to have a fun and quasi-educational day with her grandparents. Emerson had fun spinning the various wheels.
On Saturday, we had an Easter egg hunt at a friend’s house before coloring eggs that afternoon. Easter was spent at Grandma & Grandpa’s house. Karissa, Uncle Scott, and I managed to sneak out and see a movie (Ready Player One) while Grandma and Grandpa watched the kids.
We’ve also done a bit of revisiting our favorite stores around town. Specifically, Menards. Menards is based in Wisconsin and hasn’t yet expanded to the south where Home Depot and Lowes dominate the market.
We’ll be heading back on the road again shortly to finish our trip. Adelaide and Emerson have absolutely loved being home. They’ve liked being able to run around and play all around the house. It’s tough to get that kind of play inside an RV and the outdoors isn’t welcoming to Emerson with the rocks and other hazards. Being home is also better for the dogs because of our fenced-in yard where they can play together. In short, Adelaide doesn’t want to leave her “big house”.
We’re debating whether we should continue with our plan to head west to New Mexico and Arizona; looping home through the Badlands on the way home; or to essentially do our trip in reverse to stay as warm as possible.
