The Chicago Cubs broke the curse of the Billy Goat and won the World Series last night. It was a perfect ending to end the 108 years of suffering. Down 3 games to 1. Force a Game 7. Get a nice lead. Blow said lead. Rain delay. Then a leadoff hit from Kyle Schwarber leading to 2 runs. Letting a run score in the bottom of the inning before a smiling 3rd baseman, Kris Bryant, fields a weak grounder and records the final out to Anthony Rizzo.
Go Cubs. There’s always next year – to add another ring!
