Since I started working, pay day was on the 14th and 28th of every month – or the closest business day prior to that. It had become habit to check my bank’s website on every pay day morning just to make sure the funds hit my account. Well, per habit, today I logged onto my bank website and didn’t see a deposit. It was a strange feeling.
We’ve been buying quite a bit of high dividend stocks in the utilities, renewable power, energy infrastructure, and real estate sectors. Those dividends will fund the bulk of our lifestyle with short-term trades and real estate flips filling in any gaps to fund vacations and non-essential activities like our recent trip to the indoor waterpark.
Karissa still gets paid twice each month. Her salary is hot fudge on the sundae and our back-up if things don’t work out as planned.
